D&D Goes Dealer Direct
Promoting D&D to Dealers
Horsepower Marketing developed an online and print campaign to promote the firm’s 2008 transition into Dealer Direct status.
The campaign includes a direct response program sent directly to high-value independent and franchise motorcycle dealerships. In addition, we executed a publicity plan that introduced D&D’s President, Dave Rash, to the motorcycle industry media. Podcasts have been scheduled with consumer and industry online magazines to educate the dealers on D&D’s new status.
The final component of the plan is to develop a series of videos that highlight the performance exhaust pipe systems and to assist in pulling product through the distribution channel.
Changing Landscape
Press releases show up on blogs, social networks and search engines on a regular basis - the media as well as consumers are now viewing them more than ever. That is why our plans include a significant online element.
Results
The results of the campaign are still early. Even so, D&D’s revenue stream is holding steady and new editorial opportunities have opened up.
