Apple Computer is integrating their technology to allow enthusiasts to easily play media on all platforms of players from portable devices to television.
Apple is going after the living room. Apple’s new media transfer box, named iTV and expected in January for $299, will move content to the TV via iTunes. Apple’s movie downloads can be viewed on Apple or Windows computers, iPods and now with iTV, on television.
More iPod Details
Apple lowered prices on new full-size iPods. A 30-gigabyte model fetches $249; an 80-GB version capable of holding up to 20,000 songs or 100 hours of video goes for $349.
The latest Nano models are thinner and lighter than before. Apple has upped the storage and battery life while keeping prices the same.
Apple also made changes to improve the sound and fit of the iPod’s earbuds.
NFL Content on iTunes
The NFL and Apple announced a one-year deal Tuesday to allow fans to buy video highlights of 2006 regular-season games at the iTunes online store for viewing on a computer or iPod.
Fans will be able to buy highlights for $1.99 a game one day after the game is played. Fans can also buy a season pass for $24.99.
